Financial Times roundup, 10/26/07

The Financial Times reported today on the US’s new set of unilateral sanctions against Iran, including targeting the international arm of the Revolutionary Guard, the Quds force. The Revolutionary Guard serves as Iran’s intelligence logistics group, and Quds is its international arm, suspected by the US of aiding insurgent groups in Iraq, and groups like Hezbollah in Lebanon.

A – Azteca, El
Understanding the allure of a good dive

I think it was Zach who first introduced me to El Azteca, and while it’s hard to top the venerated hometown favorite, Jalisco, El Azteca pretty much blows everything away in terms of kitschy pseudo-Amerindian-Catholic-Tejano decor, solicitous service, damn good Tex-Mex, and lots of pictures of scantly clad Azteca princesses.
